What can Italy and Thailand build together?

Italian–Thai Business Forum Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation and Investment Opportunities

Sirmione, 27–30 September 2026 – At the 11th Italian–Thai Business Forum in Brescia, business leaders and institutional representatives from both countries explored three key questions shaping future cooperation: how to advance the energy transition pragmatically, how to turn complementary industrial strengths into investment opportunities, and how family businesses can prepare for the next generation.

The 2026 edition welcomed participants between Lake Garda and Brescia, with the Forum’s discussions taking place at the Museo Mille Miglia. The event was honoured by the presence of H.E. Paolo Dionisi, Ambassador of Italy to Thailand, and Ms Jantarat Ngamchana, Minister at the Royal Thai Embassy.

The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) was represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Giacomo Iobizzi, who attended the Forum alongside leading companies and institutional stakeholders from Italy and Thailand. His participation reaffirmed TICC’s commitment to fostering bilateral economic relations, facilitating business connections, and identifying new opportunities for Italian and Thai companies across both markets.

A clear opportunity emerged from the discussions: combining Italian technology, engineering and design with Thailand’s manufacturing capabilities and its strategic connections across Southeast Asia.

The conversations also highlighted practical areas for collaboration, including smart manufacturing, joint product development, stronger supply chains and logistics, and energy efficiency. These priorities offer concrete opportunities for businesses to develop partnerships, exchange expertise and strengthen their presence in increasingly interconnected markets.

The Forum was co-chaired by Davide Cavagna, CEO of Cavagna Group and Italian Co-Chair of the Italian–Thai Business Forum, alongside Jiraphant Asvatanakul, President and CEO of Thaivivat Insurance PCL and Thai Co-Chair of the Forum.

The discussions provided a valuable platform for dialogue between the business communities of both countries, laying the groundwork for new relationships, commercial partnerships and investment projects. Through its participation, TICC continues to support the development of a stronger Italy–Thailand business corridor and to promote opportunities for cooperation across the wider Southeast Asian region.
