Treviso, a New Route to the East: CastelBrando opens to ASEAN

June 9 to 11, the Southeast Asia Forum brought buyers and institutions to Valmarino. Venicepromex, the Camera di Commercio di Treviso - Belluno|Dolomiti, with the support of Regione Veneto and the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce.
Three days to shift the axis of export, the halls of the venue, CastelBrando, became a diplomatic and commercial hub between Northeast Italy and Southeast Asia. The Southeast Asia Forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso-Belluno|Dolomiti in coordination with Venicepromex, has one stated goal: to physically bring ASEAN into the heart of Italy’s manufacturing region.
Representing the Thai Italian Chamber of Commerce was Michele Tomea, General Manager, who coordinated meetings and technical sessions between local SMEs and a delegation of buyers, distributors, and institutions together with, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Australia. the Thai-Italian Chamber is a key gateway for Italian companies entering the Thai market, a logistics and manufacturing hub for the entire ASEAN region.
With 670 million consumers, an expanding middle class, and projected growth of +4.7% in 2026, Southeast Asia is now the world’s most dynamic region after India. For Italian SMEs in machinery, furniture, food & beverage, jewelry, and green tech, it represents a concrete alternative to dependence on Middle East, Russia, the U.S. "It’s no longer an option, it’s a strategic necessity,” Pozza stated.
The Forum’s approach was operational, focusing on targeted over 200 B2B meetings, and country focus sessions.
