TICC Participates in BOI Paris Office Conference and hosts Strategic Roundtable with Italian SUBCON Thailand and Assocamerestero

On 16 May 2025, the Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) was honored to participate in two key moments of international dialogue and industrial cooperation between Europe and Southeast Asia.

The day began at BITEC Bangkok with the international conference "Thailand: Southeast Asia’s Leading Hub for Business & Procurement", organized by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Paris Office. The conference brought together leading voices from the European business community, with the participation of TEBA, FTCC, Business France, and the Spanish and British Chambers of Commerce. Representing TICC, Secretary General Giacomo Iobizzi joined the networking reception and connected with delegates and institutional partners from across the continent.

In the afternoon, TICC hosted the exclusive roundtableIndustrial Alliances: Italy and ASEAN at the Heart of Subcontracting Innovation”, held at TICC Connect in Bangkok. The event welcomed the official Italian delegation of SUBCON Thailand, led by Mr. Domenico Mauriello, Secretary General of Assocamerestero, along with Mrs. Pitchaporn Liwjaroen (Royal Thai Embassy in Rome), and Ms. Souchitra ABHAY-SASSADY, Investment Promotion Officer at BOI Paris.

The roundtable, opened by Secretary General Iobizzi, focused on strengthening industrial synergies, exploring investment opportunities, and understanding the evolving subcontracting landscape in the ASEAN region. A keynote by Mr. Stefano Passarello, Managing Partner Asia at monx, offered practical guidance on tax structuring, residency for foreign investors, and strategies for market entry in Southeast Asia.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session and a networking cocktail, facilitating valuable exchanges between Italian stakeholders and ASEAN business leaders.

This invitation-only event offered significant insights for entrepreneurs, consultants, and industrial players seeking to expand their presence in Southeast Asia, reaffirming the role of TICC as a key facilitator of economic cooperation between Europe and ASEAN.
