"Taste of Italy" in Phnom Penh, Showcasing Italian Gastronomy and Wines in Cambodia

Phnom Penh, 3 June 2024 - The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) and the TICC's Cambodia Committee successfully completed the very first "Taste of Italy" event, at Siena Italian Steakhouse in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The event is with the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok and the Italian Consulate in Phnom Penh (Consolato Onorario D'Italia Phnom Penh Cambogia), with the collaboration of Tenuta Viglione and Cantine Polvanera, and the support of the Italo-Orientale Chamber of Commerce (Camera di Commercio Italo-Orientale).

The activities were opened by President Federico Cardini and Secretary General Giacomo Iobizzi who introduced Consul Aurelio Flacco, also Chairman of the TICC’s Cambodia Committee. After the greetings, different professionals have the chance to attend the 2 Italian Wine Masterclasses led by Italian Sommelier Marco Penna and Wine connoisseur, Italo-Orientale Chamber of Commerce Representative Angelo Villani, explaining the Puglia wines produced by Tenuta Viglione and Cantine Polvanera Thailand. 

During the evening, a B2B Food and Beverage professional networking has been hosted by providing a taste of Italian and Puglia food ingredients, deliciously prepared and cooked by Chef Giuseppe Napoletano of Siena Restaurant & Wine Bar. Over 40 operators filled the room and enjoyed the fantastic view on the Cambodian Capital City.
