AIPA – Asia International Professionals Alliance Connecting Professionals and Businesses Across Italy and Asia-Pacific

AIPA – Asia International Professionals Alliance
Connecting Professionals and Businesses Across Italy and Asia-Pacific

An international professional network designed to create opportunities throughout the year

The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) is pleased to introduce AIPA – Asia International Professionals Alliance, an international initiative promoted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore through its International Professional Department, in collaboration with 7 Italian Chambers of Commerce across the Asia-Pacific region.

AIPA aims to strengthen professional cooperation between Italy and Asia-Pacific by connecting lawyers, accountants, tax advisors, corporate consultants, financial experts and other professionals who support businesses in their international development.

The initiative will be officially presented during the APAC Strategic Business Forum, taking place in Rome on 5–6 December 2026 at the A.Roma Lifestyle Hotel.

However, the Forum is only the starting point. The core of the AIPA project is the digital platform, which will provide participating professionals with opportunities to connect, share expertise and promote their services throughout the following year.

1. The AIPA Digital Platform: A Year of Opportunities for Professionals

As part of this initiative, professionals who are members of the participating Italian Chambers of Commerce in Asia-Pacific will be offered the opportunity to join the AIPA digital platform free of charge for one year.

The objective is to create a shared professional space where members can increase their international visibility, exchange knowledge and develop relationships with colleagues, firms and businesses operating in Italy and across Asia-Pacific.

The platform is intended to be an active and collaborative environment, open to contributions from participating professionals and their firms.

Through the platform, members will be able to:

  • Present their professional profiles and expertise, including their name, firm name, logo, contact details, professional biography and areas of specialisation.

  • Publish articles and professional insights on legal, tax, accounting, financial, regulatory and business matters relevant to Italy and Asia-Pacific.

  • Upload and share webinars and seminar recordings, making their expertise accessible to other members of the network.

  • Share presentations and publications, including technical papers, research, guides and other professional materials.

  • Publish firm newsletters and professional bulletins, keeping the network informed about relevant developments, services and activities.

  • Contribute country-specific business updates, providing practical information on local regulations, market conditions, investment opportunities and the requirements for doing business in individual Asia-Pacific markets.

  • Promote professional initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities, including online presentations, training sessions and discussions on topics of common interest.

The intention is to encourage the active participation of all members, allowing each professional and firm to contribute according to their expertise, interests and availability.

The platform will therefore not be limited to the professionals speaking at the Rome Forum. Participation in the Forum as a speaker is not a prerequisite for contributing to AIPA or benefiting from the opportunities offered by the network.

Every participating professional will have the opportunity to share relevant content and establish connections with colleagues and potential partners across the region.

The specific technical features, content-upload procedures and publication guidelines will be communicated as the platform is developed and launched.

2. The APAC Strategic Business Forum – Rome, 5–6 December 2026

The Forum will bring together professionals, institutional representatives and experts from Italy and Asia-Pacific for two days of discussion, knowledge-sharing and networking.

The event is designed to explore the professional and business challenges associated with international expansion, with particular attention to the legal, tax, financial and regulatory aspects of cross-border activities.

Topics will include:

  • Market-entry strategies and business establishment in Asia-Pacific.

  • International taxation and tax residency.

  • Corporate structuring and cross-border business operations.

  • Wealth planning and Family Offices.

  • Legal and regulatory frameworks in selected Asian markets.

  • Singapore's role as a regional business hub.

  • Investment opportunities and the practical challenges of operating across different jurisdictions.

The programme will combine plenary sessions, international panels, practical case studies and country-focused discussions.

On 6 December, the Interactive Executive Sessions will provide participants with the opportunity to engage directly with experts specialising in individual markets through dedicated parallel sessions.

The Forum will also provide the opportunity to present the AIPA digital platform and outline the professional collaboration initiatives planned for 2027.

While the Rome event will offer an important opportunity for in-person interaction, its broader objective is to establish the foundations for a professional network that will remain active well beyond the two-day programme.

3. An Opportunity to Contribute Beyond the Forum

AIPA is conceived as a collaborative network rather than a traditional conference or a directory of professional contacts.

Its value will depend on the participation of professionals from different jurisdictions who are willing to share knowledge, provide practical insights and contribute to the development of cross-border professional relationships.

For this reason, all participating professionals are encouraged to consider the platform as an opportunity to present their expertise and contribute to the network, regardless of whether they attend the Rome Forum or take part in its speaking programme.

For example, a law firm specialising in international taxation may publish an article on tax residency; an accounting firm may share a webinar on regulatory changes; a corporate advisory firm may upload a presentation on setting up a business in a specific market; and a professional firm may circulate its regular newsletter or a country-specific business guide.

These contributions will help build a useful and continuously updated knowledge resource for professionals and businesses seeking reliable expertise across Italy and Asia-Pacific.

The participating Chambers of Commerce will play an important role in encouraging member participation, facilitating professional connections and helping identify opportunities for cooperation within the network.

The long-term ambition is to develop a trusted international community in which professional visibility, technical expertise and institutional relationships reinforce one another.

4. A Network Connecting Italy and Eight Asia-Pacific Markets

The initiative brings together eight Italian Chambers of Commerce operating across key Asia-Pacific markets, including:

  • Singapore

  • Malaysia

  • Thailand

  • Vietnam

  • Hong Kong and Macao

  • China

  • South Korea

  • Perth -  Australia

By connecting professionals across these markets, AIPA aims to facilitate access to local expertise and help Italian businesses identify qualified professional contacts when entering or expanding in Asia-Pacific.

At the same time, professionals based in the region will have the opportunity to strengthen their connections with Italian firms, businesses and colleagues, creating opportunities for reciprocal collaboration.

The platform is intended to support this exchange by making professional information, technical knowledge and relevant updates more accessible across geographical boundaries.

5. Looking Ahead: Building AIPA Together in 2027

The launch of the digital platform represents the beginning of a broader effort to strengthen professional cooperation between Italy and Asia-Pacific.

During 2027, the participating Chambers and professionals will be encouraged to contribute content, share knowledge and identify opportunities for joint activities.

The objective is to develop a sustainable professional network that goes beyond individual events and creates value through continuous interaction.

The Rome Forum will launch the initiative, but the real opportunity lies in what the professional community can build together throughout the year.

We therefore invite our members to learn more about AIPA, consider joining the platform and contribute their professional expertise to the development of this international network.

By participating, professionals will have the opportunity to increase their visibility, share their knowledge and strengthen relationships with colleagues and potential partners across Italy and Asia-Pacific.

We look forward to building this initiative together with our members and fellow Chambers of Commerce.
