[PPR] Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce Hosts Ospitalità Italiana Seminar and Roundtable
Bangkok, 30/09/2024
The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) hosted the "Ospitalità Italiana Seminar and F&B Committee Roundtable" in the TICC Connect area. This significant event brought together a diverse group of attendees, including representatives from restaurants, pizzerias, and gelaterias participating in the Ospitalità Italiana Project (OIP), importers and distributors of Italian products in Thailand, as well as selected retailers and hotels. TICC is grateful to President Cardini for his unfailing support, guidance, and for his contribution to the Chamber’s mission.
Before the seminar began, we offered a special coffee reception sponsored by new TICC member and partner Great Earth International Co., Ltd., whom we thank for the support.
The seminar began with a comprehensive presentation of the Ospitalità Italiana Project by Mr. Giuseppe D’Onofrio, Project Coordinator. The presentation highlighted the project's aims and criteria, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high-quality standards for authentic Italian products. Attendees were introduced to the phenomenon of Italian Sounding, which refers to products that misleadingly suggest they are of Italian origin. Overall, the presentation aimed to promote the Made in Italy mark.
Furthermore, the presentation included a review of the previous Awarding Ceremony held in 2023, showcasing the achievements and milestones of the past year. Attendees were also informed about the sponsorship packages available for the upcoming Awarding Ceremony in 2024, encouraging active participation and support from the community.
On this occasion, TICC was delighted to introduce Mr. Francesco Cioffi: newly appointed Chairman of the F&B Committee. Mr. Cioffi guided the roundtable session explaining more about the objectives and spirit of the initiative.
The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce extends its gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions and looks forward to continued cooperation in promoting authentic Italian products in Thailand. TICC would also like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors that helped to make this event special: Caffe Vergnano 1882, Conserve Italia Soc. Coop. Agricola (Cirio), Great Earth International Co., Ltd.
