[PPR] High-Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations, The European House - Ambrosetti
Bangkok, 4 October 2023 - The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce (TICC) has participated in the High-Level Dialogue on ASEAN Italy Economic Relations at Grand Hyatt Erawan in Bangkok. Many were the distinguished speakers who took turns on stage to address the audience by presenting and sharing their opinions on ASEAN Economic Relations.
H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, who held an opening speech on stage, argued that Italy is one of Thailand’s most important trading partners in the European Union. Thailand, he followed, wants to continue to improve this strategic partnership. He also stated that ASEAN and Italy can forge a stronger partnership that reinforces Thailand’s and Italy’s common ability to deal with the challenges ahead of us and manage the global Green Transition more effectively.
Mr. Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, who flew directly from Rome to attend this important event, stated that ASEAN is a very vibrant part of the world, which has seen impressive economic growth after the pandemic despite the challenges in the region. Talking about the Green Transition ahead, Minister Valentini also argued that Italy and Thailand, along with all ASEAN countries, should look forward to the Green transition ahead as an important opportunity to develop further in more innovative and strategic fields for the future.
Mr. Federico Cardini, President of Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce joined the panel discussion as a representative of Unioncamere and Assocamerestero in the persons of President Andrea Prete and Secretary General Domenico Mauriello. Cardini stated that Italy and Thailand have great potential for cooperation in the field of digitalization, innovation and creativity. The Thai-Italian Chamber of Commerce is the right player to foster such cooperation.
